About Us
Northern Neighbours Foundation provides the citizens of Cranberry Portage, Creighton, Denare Beach, Flin Flon, Sherridon and Snow Lake with the opportunity to invest in the future of their community and region forever.

The foundation pools gifts in a capital fund that remains in perpetuity: The gift you give is never “spent” or “used up.” The income generated from the capital is distributed as grants to registered charities in the region.

The Northern Neighbours Foundation was established in 1994 to support the organizations that are improving the quality of life in the region. Northern Neighbours is one of many foundations across Canada building better communities.

Objectives - Northern Neighbours will accumulate charitable gifts in a capital fund, providing citizens with a means of permanently endowing their region and helping to shape its future. Northern Neighbours will allocate the earnings with vision and care to encourage and support charitable projects in the areas of: community service, arts and culture, education, heritage, environment, health and medical service, recreation and sports, youth and senior programs.

Accountability – Northern Neighbours is an incorporated, non-political, non-governmental charitable organization solely supported by gifts from individuals and organizations. The Foundation is managed by a regionally represented Board of Governors who serve on a voluntary basis.

“The Foundation is ideal for those wishing to make their gift last forever”
